Brandon + Jamin

Roomies For Life

A perfect autumn wedding

Former college roommates Brandon and Jamin had fallen in love in Philadelphia during their time at The University of the Arts right in Center City, so when it came time to plan their dream wedding, they wanted to celebrate in the city where their love story began. As far as finding the perfect venue, Kimpton Hotel Monaco was exactly what they were looking for. "It checked all of our boxes," the couple said. "We were able to throw a whole weekend’s worth of events all under the same roof, with completely different experiences for each occasion. The hotel has such an amazing energy—from the lobby and restaurant to the small details that went into every room it all felt so thought out and special."

Memorable Details

In the days preceding the wedding, the weather had been a mix of rain and storms, so the couple was anxious about what their wedding day had in store. Thankfully Mother Nature is a romantic and the day was gorgeous and sunny, so they could have their first look on the hotel’s Stratus Rooftop Lounge and host their sunset cocktail hour there as well.

The whole day and experience was exactly what we wanted. The staff and our coordinator Katie Killman made sure that every detail was in place and that we would remember our day for being perfect.

We wanted something more unique than standard wedding venues. The hotel has so much character and we were truly charmed.

post-ceremony

During the ceremony in the Lafayette ballroom, stunning bouquets of long-stemmed white roses lined the aisle as well as floated beautifully in front of Brandon and Jamin in a custom flower arch as they said their vows. The debonair grooms were each outfitted in custom Indochino tuxes, each with a white jacket and matching boutonnières.

The Lafayette Ballroom was also the site of the reception. A warm candlelit glow made for a romantic ambience. The couple sat at a long head table with their wedding party and their significant others. Funny and heartwarming speeches, mother-son dances, delicious food, and a dance floor full of loved ones made it a night to remember.
