Jaclyn + Simon

Two Journeys Become One at Hotel Monaco

An Intimate Old City Wedding

After first crossing paths in New York City following moves from Seattle and the UK respectively, Jaclyn and Simon quickly discovered a shared sense of adventure. This appreciation for new experiences set the stage for a relationship that would eventually bring them to Philadelphia. As the first city they called home together, Philadelphia felt like the perfect place to celebrate their wedding surrounded by family and friends. Their April 2026 celebration at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia incorporated both Jewish and British traditions from the couples’ heritages, and unfolded across the property's distinctive spaces, from a romantic garden ceremony to a sunset cocktail hour and a lively ballroom reception. Thoughtful service from the Hotel Monaco wedding planning team helped create a deeply personal and unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests.

Memorable Details

The ceremony took place in the Thomas Jefferson Garden across the street from Kimpton Monaco Hotel Philadelphia.

Bridal Details

It sounds cliché but the people are what made the experience. Hotel Monaco’s spaces and cuisine were beautiful and delicious, respectively. But working with Katie and the team was the cherry on top. They put in extra effort to make the little touches happen, helping us gather our friends and family in a place that reflected who we are. They were key players in making a day we will remember for the rest of our lives.

The wedding reception took place in the hotel’s Lafayette Ballroom. The space was adorned with a spring color palette including peachy tones, lilac purples, and blush pinks with cherry blossoms as a nod to Japan where the couple got engaged. Hotel Monaco even created an afternoon tea-inspired display.
